Rev'ing up STEM education
Student achievement in the STEM disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math is imperative if we are to boost student success, fuel a skilled, diverse workforce, and stay competitive in todayʼs challenging global economy.
Leaders in STEM education, business, and industry have teamed up to develop and implement Driving SCIENCE, a unique interactive and powerful three-day
professional development institute.
The raceway is our classroom.
Unlike any other STEM professional development program, Driving SCIENCE advances STEM education by bringing middle and high school STEM teachers
and administrators onto a speedway during a race week, immersing them in the exciting world of professional motorsports.
Beyond the finish line
Driving SCIENCE and its benefits extend beyond this stimulating real-world experience. Once participants return to their schools, they put their insights and experience to work in the classroom, as well as drive home the highlights of what they learned to their colleagues.
Further, they become team members of a virtual STEM community—one that charges up STEM education in classrooms nationwide.
